Here’s My Thoughts
I Believe
I believe in the Holy Trinity, GOD the FATHER, Jesus Christ his Son, and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). One God in three persons, creator of heaven and earth. Genesis 1:1-2 and John 1:1-3.
I believe that the HOLY BIBLE is the perfect, infallible, Word of GOD. Written by men under the anointing of the Holy Ghost at the will of GOD the FATHER and the HOLY BIBLE is given for the teaching of sound doctrine, reproof, guidance, help, faith, and love. 2Peter 1:21
I believe that the whole Bible, every word of it, is for the Church (body of Christ) today, in Isaiah 40:8 it says “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” and in Mark 13:31 (Jesus teaching) He said “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
I believe there is ONE WAY to GOD, His Son, Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin, who lived a life of love then suffered and died in love, was raised from the dead, and sits at the right hand of GOD in heaven.
I believe in salvation and the remission of sin through faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:16.
I believe in a personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and water baptism of the believer as a follower of Christ.
I believe in the sacrament of Holy Communion as it is in Mark 14:22-24.
I believe in the local church, it’s ministry to the community that it is in and to the world evangelism that the church is called to fulfill in Mark 16:18 “And he (Jesus) said unto them, ‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.’ ”
I believe in the five fold ministry gifts to the church sometimes called the ascension gifts. Ephesians 4:8-12.
I believe in the administrational gifts given to the church, as Paul writes in 1Corinthians 12:28-31.
I believe in the motivational gifts given to the church in Romans 12:3-8.
I believe in the anointing with oil and praying over the sick according to the Bible in James 5:14-15.
I believe in the Baptism in the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) according to Acts 2:
I believe in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues as taught by the Apostle Paul in his writing to the church in 1Corinthians 12:8-11
I believe there is a proper order set forth in the Bible for the church, (body of Christ) today in 1Corinthians 12:27-28, and in 1Corinthians 14:36-40.
I believe GOD loves you wherever you are today and that HE sent his Son to die for you and I that we may have eternal life. It is written in the Holy Bible in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” ©*see footnote
